We saw several large herds of elephants today, with lots of females, juveniles, and babies. We even saw a couple of infants, including one who was suckling from his mom.
At one point we were watching one cross the road in front of us, and Mary said, quite matter-of-factly, that it was a male. Someone asked how she could tell, and as we watched the elephant take another big step forward and it became glaringly obvious how she could tell...
