Buffalo!!

We all saw buffalo today, although they were far away and wallowing in the sand by the river.  We looked for them all day today, and often saw the signs:  dung, giant mud holes that recently hosted some kind of group buffalo gatherings (involving lots of mudrolling), and large recently trampled patches in the grassy savannas where groups of buffalo slept for awhile.  But no buffalo until the afternoon.  Still, even though we couldn't see them well, it was worth it:  we have all now officially seen the big five!  This is an Elmira College first, by the way, which makes it even better!
